Joy is President of Executive Real Estate Services. In 1986, she embarked on a career in property management. She has served as Property Management Supervisor, Property Management Director, and in January of 2004, President.

She is responsible for the real estate portfolio management and overall operational management of Executive Real Estate Services.

Robert is Vice President of Executive Real Estate Services and a licensed real estate broker. He negotiates national and local business leases as well as purchases and sales of commercial and residential ground.

His back ground in the construction field, land development of multiple use property, and acquisition and disposition of multi-family units and commercial properties has given him an in depth understanding of all aspects of residential and commercial real estate transactions as well as all areas of property management.

Sami Jo Smith
Regional Property Manager – Multi-Family Management

Sami Jo began working for Executive Real Estate Services in 2004 as a Property Manager and has recently been promoted to Regional Property Manager. She brings 16 years of multi-family property management experience both in and out of state to the ERS team. Sami Jo is designated as a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM). Presently, Sami Jo is responsible for the operational success of nearly 1500 multi-family units in the Des Moines area.

Blake Brown joined Executive Real Estate Services in 2002 and has worked his way up through many roles with the company. He began as a Commercial Property Manager, successfully managing over 1.5 million square feet of commercial space for ERS. In 2003, he obtained his real estate salesperson license and was then promoted to Leasing Manager. In 2006, Blake received his broker license and was promoted to Broker Associate with ERS and then, most recently, in 2008 promoted to Managing Director. Blake is responsible for overseeing the acquisition, disposition and leasing of commercial property.

Rachael Wubben
Accounting Manager

Rachael joined Executive Real Estate Services as an Accounting Manager in 2006. She graduated cum laude with her Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loras College in Dubuque, IA. Her expertise in accounting includes several years of Corporate Accounting experience with a $400 million furniture manufacturer. Currently, under her leadership, the Executive Real Estate Services accounting team successfully, and professionally manages over 70 projects.

Michael Billings joined the Executive Real Estate Services team in 2007 as a Commercial Property Manager. Michael came to ERS with a diverse background, bringing a fresh new perspective to the ERS team. He holds a 4-year Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a Biomedical Emphasis and a Minor in Chemistry from the University of Northern Iowa.

In addition to the hands-on experience of being a landlord himself, Michael has also repaired and maintained boat and dock equipment; worked for Newton Waterworks doing landscaping, painting and repair work; and worked for U.S. Cellular in sales. Michael now successfully manages a large portfolio of commercial properties in Central Iowa for ERS. He personally visits each site regularly working with service providers, on-staff maintenance technicians, vendors and suppliers to assure the efficient and economical operations of all properties.
